HopeWorks is a private nonprofit agency with a mission to support and advocate for people in Howard County affected by sexual and intimate partner violence and to engage the community in creating the change required for violence prevention. HopeWorks’ services include shelter, counseling, advocacy, legal resources, prevention education, community wellness programs and volunteer opportunities.
HopeWorks is seeking an attorney experienced in protective order law to litigate protective order cases in the Howard County District and Circuit Courts for a limited period of time. The duration of the position is not fixed but is expected to last two to six months.
Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply.
The individual will be compensated $500 per case, with an estimated five to 12 cases per month.
