SUMMARY:MSBA Young Lawyers Section 30th Annual Charity Event benefiting Community Law Center
DESCRIPTION:The virtual Charity Event will include hors d’oeuvres and drinks prepared by Gertrude’s at the Baltimore Museum of Art\, a silent auction\, “Hits Through the Decades” Music Bingo presented by Charm City Trivia\, and a chance to win one of many prizes. \nThis year’s charity beneficiary is the Community Law Center. The Community Law Center has actively worked for over 30 years as Maryland’s only legal services organization dedicated solely to strengthening neighborhoods and serving the nonprofit sector.  The Community Law Center provides direct legal representation to neighborhood-led groups\, community associations\, grassroots organizations\, and small nonprofits throughout Maryland. Recognizing that a collaborative approach to legal representation helps dismantle systemic racism\, attorneys with the Community Law Center work in partnership with community leaders to support the priorities and initiatives of directly impacted groups. In addition to providing legal representation\, the Community Law Center also provides learning opportunities for its clients\, attorneys\, and community leaders\, including self-help publications\, workshops\, and training.  Through its work\, the Community Law Center has helped countless communities and nonprofits accomplish their goals and achieve their missions.
